Okay, 2009 is just beginning people yet there are still big things to come...1. Let's not forget that our New President Barack Obama is coming in office Jan 20, 2009. This is an exciting moment for our country and our history, yet we are all anxious about what is next to come. Barack Obama has convinced America that he is competent to be a leader of our country. I believe this full heartedly, yet I still worry of the complex road he will have to face. Consider the atrocious economic problems and the rising volatile world issues to come for him ahead. It will be a gradual and intricate process to navigate smoothly away from this mess, but the only way we as a nation can stand strong, is if we support our new Prez.
Side rumor: I also heard that Jennifer Hudson would be singing. How wonderful! I'm glad my sista is back on her feet
2. The year of the baby BOOM. Obstetricians and midwifes get ready for what is said to be a baby frenzy this year. It seems like our pregnant celebrities are getting ready in advance. Janet Jackson was said she to pulled off of her tour from due to "vertigo", but what might be true is that she is pregnant. Mariah and Nick have denied being preggers, but come on...How long will it be before it's noticable y'all? Angelina Jolie is said to have another baby girl with Brad Pitt (not really news for those two).
3. Entertainment: New music albums to look forward to, so get your mp3s, ipods, whatever gadgets y'all use (shoot I still got my cd player on deck), ready for the new year. The legendary Prince is planning dropping three albums this year. Rhianna is to rerelease Good Girl Gone Bad for the third time (come out with new music chile!) For any U2 fans, they are releasing another album too, so look out for them. Jay-Z is also rumored to drop his 11th or 12th album I believe. Kelly Clarkson is trying to arrive back on the scene in 09. Additionally Britney Spears, Ciara and Keri Hilson are confirmed to drop their records.
Next we got the movies of 2009. Notorious, biopic on deceased rapper Biggie Smalls is due to screen this month. A remake of Friday the 13th is about to happen...ugh I feel a flop coming on. X-men Origins, Angels and Demons, and Star Trek are some of the most anticipated sci-fi/superhero films coming this year. The Frog Princess, an animation starring Anika Rose who is playing the first black disney princess. Finally! Another anticipated biopic centers around Che Guevara, a revolutionary hero (I can't wait to see this). Lastly Beyonce along with Idris Elba stars in Obsessed (I can tell this will be a mess, but the trailer was quite hilarious).
For the gamers....Heavy Rain [PS3]..Sims 3 [PC]...Flow..Final Fantasy...Madden... and more off gamespot.com
For sports..I'm not to big on sports but I hear most people predicting that the Steelers, Giants, or Cowboys will head off to the superbowl. As far as the NBA finals...Cavaliers and the Lakers has a good chance imo.
